Rugove Corporation was founded in 2006 in the mountainous region of Rugova, one of the cleanest and most resource-rich areas in Kosovo. The company began as a partnership between Unior DD from Slovenia and a local partner. Three years later, the local partners bought Unior’s shares, transforming Rugove into a fully local company with equal ownership. In its early days, Rugove offered only bottled water in 0.5L and 1.5L plastic bottles. Today, its portfolio is much broader and includes water in plastic and glass bottles, as well as dairy products and other food industry items, reflecting the company’s growth and its investments in production and distribution. Sales growth and product line expansion are the result of efficient management, commitment to quality, and the ability to respond quickly to market demands. Today, Rugove is recognized as the only company in Kosovo that bottles water directly from the natural source, holding international certifications that guarantee high standards of production and management.
