FIEK is an integral part of the University of Pristina, established on October 20, 1961, on the foundation of the former Technical High School. Today, the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering enrolls around 2,050 students across all levels of study. It employs 36 full-time academic staff, 19 part-time academic staff (from industry or other universities), and 11 administrative support staff.
FIEK’s vision is aligned with national and international models of a modern, innovative faculty with integrated teaching, where practice complements theory, and professional and research skills are developed for the benefit of society. It aims to provide quality education to prepare qualified professionals and dedicated researchers, well-educated and socially responsible, who will contribute to overall societal advancement and academic progress.
Its mission derives from the fundamental mission of the University of Pristina. In line with the institution’s mission, FIEK is dedicated to educating students in electrical and computer engineering at all levels of higher education, preparing them for labor market demands locally and beyond, ensuring continuous education in this dynamic field, and directly contributing to Kosovo’s sustainable technological, social, and scientific development.
